Girls on the run

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run reaches girls at a critical stage, strengthening their confidence at a time when society begins to tell them they can’t. Underscoring the important connection between physical and emotional health, our program addresses the whole girl when she needs it the most.

Sonora Elementary Compassion Team

Sonora Elementary Compassion Team

The Sonora Elementary Compassion Team is a group of 5th grade students that want to make a positive impact on their world. The team looks for problems in the community and finds ways to solve these problems. In addition, the team works to design and sell t-shirts. The sales from the t-shirts help fund their projects and make their community and world a better place.

EAST INITIATIVE

Education Accelerated by Service and Technology (EAST)

EAST is education accelerated by service and technology. We inspire change. We transform schools and communities by empowering people with technology, by encouraging critical thinking and creative problem-solving, and by engaging them in positive, real-world experiences. We advocate lifelong learning and community service. Through EAST, participants become positive agents of change to improve the world around them.

EAST provides all learners the opportunity to have relevant, individualized, life-changing educational experiences. In addition to establishing unique environments in schools and offering technical support, EAST also provides powerful technology training both to students and educators, including professional development focusing on integrating technology into any classroom, regardless of subject.

Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts offers the best leadership development experience for girls in the world.

Girl Scouts unleashes the G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ in every girl, preparing her for a lifetime of leadership—from taking a night-time hike under the stars to accepting a mission on the International Space Station; from lobbying the city council with her troop to holding a seat in Congress; from running her own cookie business today to tackling cybersecurity tomorrow.

Our Girl Scout Leadership Experience is a one-of-a-kind leadership development program for girls, with proven results. It is based on time-tested methods and research-backed programming that help girls take the lead—in their own lives and in the world.

Research shows that girls learn best in an all-girl, girl-led, and girl-friendly environment. Girl Scouts is a place where she’ll practice different skills, explore her potential, take on leadership positions—and even feel allowed to fail, dust herself off, get up, and try again.
