SHS teacher Thomas Lewandowski grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. His mom taught English and his dad taught wood shop and welding. Tom went into the family business after working for ten years as a musician (upright/electric bass) in Minneapolis. His first teaching job was in Central America. He and his wife taught at a bilingual school on the North Coast of Honduras and their first son, Zeke, was born there. They now have four kids, including a set of twins named Ezra and Zadie, and little Elizabeth who is in pre-school. In the summertime, they like to take epic family vacations. For example, one summer they camped for forty days in a row! Tom is excited to be teaching English at Springdale High School and to be a part of our awesome faculty. He feels like he has the best teaching job in the world, and even get to read his favorite book, Lincoln in the Bardo, with his IB juniors this year. #SHShoutOut
