Springdale High School Special Education teacher Ms. Ellen Watts graduated from Har-Ber High School and attended college at Arkansas Tech University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a Master of Liberal Arts. After graduation she came home to Springdale and began her teaching career at JO Kelly Middle School, where she taught for two years, and then transferred to Springdale High School in the fall of 2017. Ms. Watts has continued her education while teaching and recently graduated from Arkansas State University with her Educational Specialist degree with an emphasis in Special Education Leadership. She volunteers at Springdale High School as the Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach and in the community at Pathfinders Inc. and Special Olympics. She also volunteers with her students at Bread of Life. Ms. Watts enjoys working out, being outside, and hanging out with her 3 cats, Whitacre, Vivaldi, Debussy, and her dog, Bach. She likes reading dystopian novels and loves to travel. Ms. Watts appreciates the opportunities she has been given in the Springdale School District and she loves teaching at Springdale High School. Woof woof! #SHShoutOut
