SHS New Teacher Spotlight: Qian Zhang 
Qian (Cheer) received her M.A. in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Beijing Normal University. Following graduation, she was hired by the Pulaski County Special School District and worked there as a Chinese teacher for three years. Qian is currently working on her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Arkansas to advance her future career. As a graduate assistant, she worked with MAT teacher candidates on second language assessment and foreign language methodologies. She has a great passion for teaching and is looking forward to using the arts-integrated strategies with high school students in her Chinese classroom.
